30th Anniversary Celebration
A NIGHT IN CRACKER COUNTRY
at the
Old Florida Museum
Approximately 50 people joined us in celebrating CVM's
30th Anniversary. There was plenty of Sonny's Real Pit Bar-B-Q to
go around, an excellent and fun concert by folksinger/songwriter Mrs. Kate Carpenter, and demonstrations of Florida Cracker life by the staff of the Old Florida Museum. OFM owner Chuck Ponce shared how the museum was started.
At this special celebration, we shared exciting news about
CVM. Board of Director's member, Cally Traetto, announced our 2009 Visionary of the Year Award recipient. Congratulations to local businessman, Don Lohr, who has demonstrated passion and vision for this ministry. Also, Vice President Greg Davis announced the establishment of the Linda Udvari Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Sam and Ann Thompson, Founders and Directors of CVM, reflected on the 30 years of ministry, updated guests concerning current activities, and shared visions of the future.
